We have been asked: What is one of the most interesting aspects of Ghana, compared to where you have worked before? When I arrived in Ghana in November of 1999, one of the first things to strike my attention was the tremendous number of churches, many side by side. Remember: These are only first impressions. In Kazakstan Helga and I found almost no churches when we did an investigation trip preliminary to starting the LCMS mission there in 1992. The two fotos show two churches of different denominations side by side, not at all unusual around Accra. Both are new. Both are filled on Sunday morning.
