Reynoso was an older barriada, begun by invasion in the 1950s, along the Rimac River just west of downtown Lima. Here the mission found some very good friends who introduced the missionary to a family who where among the founders of the church.

Many of the young people who served in Peru as volunteers for the US mission lived and worked in Reynoso.

Today (2003) there is a small Christian Day School attached to the congregation.
